Connect Shopify

Connect your Shopify store in a few steps, then decide which store data each agent may use.

What you need

  • Your store's permanent Shopify domain, for example store.myshopify.com.
  • A Shopify account that is allowed to install and authorize apps for this store.
  • A Qosie agent to which you can assign the required Shopify tools after connecting.

Connect your store

  1. 1

    Open Shopify under Connections

In Qosie, go to Connections → Shopify.

  2. 2

    Enter your myshopify.com domain

Use the permanent domain, such as store.myshopify.com. A custom storefront domain such as shop.com won't work here.

  3. 3

    Authorize Qosie in Shopify

Click connect, sign in to Shopify if needed and review the requested read permissions before approving.

  4. 4

    Assign tools to your agent

Open your agent, select only the required Shopify tools and choose the connected Shopify store as its data source.

  5. 5

    Test from the agent chat

Ask about recent orders, low inventory or a product. The first version is read-only and changes nothing in Shopify.

Available capabilities

You decide which of these read-only capabilities each agent can use:

  • Retrieve store name, domain, currency and timezone
  • Search products with price and inventory
  • Search customers when permitted by Shopify
  • View recent orders and payment and fulfillment status
  • Summarize order totals by currency and payment status

Customer data and privacy

Shopify treats customer data and some order data as protected customer data. These fields can be limited until the Shopify app has the required approval. Product and general shop information are handled separately.
